New Styling for the Cupra Formentor
Rather than a simple mid-cycle update, the Formentor has received a comprehensive design overhaul. The silhouette remains familiar, but the front end is noticeably updated.
The hood edge and bumper line have been extended, and the grille is now part of the bumper.
The headlights are sharper, giving the front a sportier, more modern feel. New alloy wheel designs are available, although the overall shape is consistent with the previous model.
At the rear, the Cupra badge is now part of the rear light bar, and the tail lights feature a new shape and lighting pattern.
Interior and Technology Updates
Inside, the Formentor boasts an updated infotainment system with a 13-inch touchscreen. The new software is quicker and more intuitive than before.
Higher-quality materials enhance the cabin's feel, and depending on the trim level, options include sporty bucket seats and copper-effect accents.
Enhanced Powertrains
The Formentor offers a variety of engine options, many with increased power compared to the previous model. The base engine is a 1.5-liter petrol unit with a six-speed manual transmission.
An automatic version with mild-hybrid technology is also available. Two plug-in hybrid versions of the 1.5-liter engine provide 200hp and 270hp, respectively, with an electric-only range of about 62 miles.
A more powerful 2.0-liter petrol engine offers 204hp, with a VZ2 variant boosting power to 265hp. The top-of-the-line all-wheel-drive VZ3 model delivers 330hp, which is 25hp more than its predecessor.
