2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Hybrid Wears Fresh Face for U.S. Debut

Delayed from its 2023 launch, the 831-horsepower hybrid GT63 S E Performance will arrive in the U.S. for 2024 with a refreshed front end.

The Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance is coming to U.S. dealerships for the 2024 model year, a year later than originally planned.

Despite some criticism about the new four-cylinder engine in the Mercedes-AMG C63, there is a new hybrid model on the horizon called the E Performance. In fact, some of these hybrid models still feature V-8 engines.

The E Performance was first introduced in Europe and will soon make its way to the U.S., sporting a refreshed design that includes a new grille inspired by the AMG GT Coupe.

The updated grille on the E Performance features a black intake and is designed to resemble the new AMG GT Coupe. The bumper has also been cleaned up, with slim air vents and a subtler lower grille opening.

Mercedes has made updates to the features list, including a standard electric sunroof, wireless phone charger for rear seats, and a Burmester surround sound system with Dolby Atmos spacial audio.

The hybrid powertrain remains the same, pairing a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 with an electric motor on the rear axle, resulting in a massive 831 horsepower and 1082 pound-feet of torque.

The E Performance comes standard with air suspension and a new color option, Opalite White Metallic.

More information about the U.S. version of the GT63 S E Performance will be released in the coming months, so stay tuned for updates.
