Porsche Brings Toy Story To Life With Three One-Off 911 Models

Porsche has taken a trip to infinity and beyond with one of its most playful collaborations yet, revealing three one-of-one 911 models inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5.

Unveiled on the red carpet at the world premiere of Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles, the trio of bespoke Porsche 911s has been created to celebrate some of the franchise’s most loved characters: Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie.

This is not your usual special edition badge-and-paint job either. Each car has been heavily customised by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch department, which translates from German as “special wishes”. In other words, this is Porsche’s ultra-bespoke division, where the kind of dream builds most of us would sketch on a notepad are turned into real cars.

And yes, somehow, Toy Story and Porsche actually works.

The idea behind the project is simple but brilliant. Porsche, Disney and Pixar have taken the personality, colours and details of each character and reimagined them through three very different versions of the 911.

The cars are not just being built to look pretty on a red carpet either. All three will be sold as part of a wider charity initiative supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross and Starlight Children’s Foundation.

So, while these cars are very much collector-grade Porsche creations, there is also a proper purpose behind the project. It is fun, it is nostalgic, and it is going towards good causes.

Buzz Lightyear Gets The Full GT3 RS Treatment
The most extreme of the three is the Buzz Lightyear-inspired 911 GT3 RS.

Honestly, if any Toy Story character was going to get the track-ready Porsche treatment, it had to be Buzz. The GT3 RS already looks like it has been designed for a space mission, so the white, green and purple theme feels weirdly natural.

The car is based on a 992-generation 911 GT3 RS and comes with the Weissach Package, which is one of Porsche’s most serious performance options. That means it is not just a showpiece. This is a proper track-focused machine underneath the Toy Story magic.

The exterior features a white body with green and purple detailing inspired by Buzz’s Space Ranger suit. The huge rear wing has also been worked into the theme, with colours and design details that nod to Buzz’s pop-out wings.

Even the tyres have been given a special twist, with bespoke “Lightyear” sidewall lettering created just for the car. The wheels also feature custom centre caps with a Space Ranger logo designed by Pixar’s Bob Pauley, who originally designed Buzz Lightyear.

Inside, the theme continues with green stitching, Lizard Green seat belts, Pebble Grey leather and Arctic Grey Race-Tex. There is also a one-of-one inscription on the dashboard, a bespoke Buzz Lightyear motif and illuminated door sills featuring the famous line, “To Infinity and Beyond.”

Subtle? Not exactly. Brilliant? Absolutely.

Jessie Becomes A 911 Targa 4 GTS

Next up is Jessie, brought to life through a 2026 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS.

This one leans into Jessie’s cowgirl styling with a mix of white, yellow, red and blue details. Porsche even developed a new paint colour called Jessie White Metallic, complete with a pearl effect designed to reference the pearl buttons on Jessie’s western shirt.

The front and rear sections feature 944 Cobalt Blue Metallic, while the bonnet and rear decklid are finished with Atacama Yellow and GTS Red pinstriping. The red Targa roof is designed to mimic Jessie’s hat, which is a lovely little touch.

Porsche has also replaced the normal “Targa” script on the Targa bar with “Jessie” in Porsche-style lettering, which is exactly the kind of detail collectors will obsess over.

The cabin is just as bespoke, with Dark Night Blue, Bordeaux Red and Pebble Grey leather, denim-style fabric on the seats and door cards, plus cowhide-patterned floor mats. The door sill guards even light up with “YEE HAW!” because of course they do.

Underneath all the custom work, this is still a very serious 911 Targa 4 GTS, producing 532 hp and equipped with a long list of Porsche options including Night Vision Assist, InnoDrive, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Power Steering Plus and a front axle lift system.

Basically, Jessie has gone from roundup to red carpet.

Woody Gets A Denim-Inspired Carrera T
The third car is inspired by Woody and is based on a 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera T.

This one might be the most charming of the lot. Porsche created a custom paint finish designed to mimic the look and wear of blue denim, using a mix of Dark Sea Blue, Golf Blue and White. According to Porsche, even the texture of denim is visible in the paintwork.

That is proper attention to detail.

The car also features Coffee Black sections on the front fascia and lower rocker panels, Aurum detailing on the front spoiler lip and Fire Red graphics along the doors with Woody’s name worked into the design.

Inside, Porsche has gone full western toybox. There is printed red checkered leather in Speed Yellow, denim-style fabric, brown vintage leather and cowhide-patterned floor mats. Porsche says this is the first time it has used brown vintage leather in this way, referencing the worn and well-loved look of toys that have been played with for years.

The illuminated door sills read “Ride Like the Wind!”, which is a perfect nod to Woody’s character.

The Carrera T also comes with a strong options list, including an extended range fuel tank, titanium Sport tailpipes, Sport Design front fascia, front axle lift system, rear seats, Burmester Surround Sound System and Adaptive Sport Seats Plus.

It might be the least extreme car of the three on paper, but in terms of personality, Woody’s Carrera T might just be the best of the bunch.

A Proper Feel-Good Porsche Project
img_30.jpg

What makes this project work is that it does not feel like a lazy marketing exercise. Porsche has clearly gone deep into the detail, from the paint finishes and interior materials to the illuminated door sills and character-specific design cues.

Each car feels like a real interpretation of the character rather than just a 911 with a themed wrap. Buzz gets the wild GT3 RS, Jessie gets the stylish and colourful Targa, and Woody gets the charming, denim-inspired Carrera T.

It is silly in the best possible way, but it is also seriously impressive craftsmanship.

And because the cars are tied to a charitable initiative, the whole project has a feel-good edge that suits Toy Story perfectly. These are not just display cars made for a quick headline. They are one-off Porsche creations designed to celebrate a much-loved film franchise while helping support children, families and communities.

Final Thoughts
A Porsche 911 inspired by Toy Story sounds like something that should not work, but somehow Porsche, Disney and Pixar have absolutely pulled it off.

The Buzz Lightyear GT3 RS is bold and dramatic, the Jessie Targa 4 GTS is full of colour and character, and the Woody Carrera T might be one of the most creative Porsche interiors we have seen in a long time.

It is not every day you see childhood nostalgia meet high-performance German engineering, but this is exactly the kind of unexpected car story that makes the motoring world more fun.

To infinity, beyond, and apparently, straight into a Porsche 911.
