Fiat's Topolino Electric Two-Seater Coming to the UK in 2024

Exciting News: Fiat's Topolino Electric Two-Seater Coming to the UK in 2024!

Fiat is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated Topolino electric quadricycle in the UK in 2024. This compact vehicle is the perfect solution for eco-conscious individuals seeking zero-emission mobility with a small footprint.

Based on the Citroën Ami, the Topolino shares its incredibly small size, measuring just 2.53m long. Powered by an 8hp motor on the front axle and a 5.5kWh battery, it boasts a range of up to 47 miles – one mile more than the Ami. Charging is a breeze, with a time of less than four hours, and it can reach a top speed of 28mph.

The name Topolino pays homage to the original Fiat 500, which ceased production in 1955 and was affectionately known as Topolino. Design elements, such as the headlights, draw inspiration from the iconic 500.

Available in two versions – a standard 'closed' Topolino and an 'open' Dolce Vita with ropes instead of doors and a soft top – the vehicle is all about customization. It comes in a vibrant Verde Vita color and offers one wheel design, one interior option, and the choice of five optional accessories.

Fiat sees the Topolino as the perfect solution for urban and short-range travel, catering particularly to Gen Z buyers who are passionate about environmentally friendly transportation. The brand believes this vehicle will reignite young people's love for cars.

While the UK vehicles will be adapted for local use, they will maintain their left-hand drive configuration. Drivers will need a full UK driving license, unlike in France where the Ami can be driven by individuals as young as 14 and is accessible through car-sharing programs.

As for pricing, details are yet to be confirmed, but they are expected to be in line with the Citroën Ami's price tag of £7,695. Additionally, a cargo version may also become available in the future.

Prepare to be amazed by the Topolino's innovation and eco-friendly features when it hits the roads in 2024. Stay tuned to Express for more updates!
