Elon Musk is the brains behind Tesla… but what vehicles are in his garage?

When Elon Musk isn’t busy buying social media platforms or making electric cars, what does he drive? Elon has owned many interesting and glamorous cars, so here’s a few that stand out.

Ford Model T

In many ways, the Ford Model T is the polar opposite of the vehicles Musk produces today.
The Model T was one of the vehicles that may lay claim to having placed the world on wheels, while being a product of a different era.
Although it doesn't appear to be groundbreaking now, it was at the time!
With that in mind, it is a little clearer to understand Elon Musk's admiration for it.
After all, if you can't respect the past, how can you ever hope to comprehend the future?

Lotus Esprit

Elon is a huge Bond fan but there is a car in Musk's collection that proves he’s not a Bond villain, despite the many comparisons over the years.

The 1976 Lotus Esprit from the Bond movie ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ is actually owned by Musk.
The Lotus was equipped to go on underwater adventures, making it one of the most well-known Bond vehicles driven by Roger Moore.
2013 saw its addition to Musk's collection.
We can't help but wonder whether a water-based Tesla is imminent.

McLaren F1

One of Musk's most thoroughly researched personal vehicles is likely his McLaren F1.
primarily because, following his early success in Silicon Valley, a CNN television crew arrived on delivery day to photograph Musk and his new motor.
This vehicle may have inspired Musk to embark on a quest to build an electric vehicle that could perform better than the F1.

Tesla Roadster

Remember the original Lotus-based Tesla Roadsters from back in the day? (no, not an Esprit).
Well, until 2018, Musk held the first manufacturing variant in his personal collection.
Then Musk made the decision to launch this Roadster into space using one of his SpaceX Falcon rockets, immortalising it for all time.
No need to be concerned; nobody is inside that spacesuit.
at least as far as we are aware.

BMW 320i

This list of vehicles would indicate that Musk is not a modest person.
But his first car wasn't quite glamorous by his standards (but still quite cool, nonetheless).
His first vehicle was a 1987 BMW 320i, a design that is now regarded as a modern classic.
Unfortunately, while running errands for Elon's first business, Zip2, an intern apparently wrote about Musk's pride and joy.
Even so, a modest beginning in light of the cars he has obtained in the past.
