Driving Your Leased Vehicle Abroad?
Here's Everything You Need to Know...
Planning a European road trip in your leased vehicle? Before you pack your bags and head for the ferry, there's one important document you don't want to forget.
If you're driving a leased or company vehicle outside the UK, you'll normally need a VE103 Certificate. Without it, you could face delays, fines or even have your vehicle stopped while authorities verify you're authorised to take it abroad.
The good news? It's easy to arrangeโas long as you don't leave it until the last minute.

What is a VE103 Certificate?
A VE103 Certificate is the official document that proves you have permission to take your leased or company vehicle outside the UK.
Unlike privately owned vehicles, the leasing company keeps the original V5C registration document, so the VE103 acts as the accepted alternative when travelling abroad.
We recommend applying at least 14 days before you travel.
